Walking Together
The Story Behind The Joyous Way
Although my path may seem to have a clear beginning, I know it stretches far back—woven into the lives and wisdom of many others. Teachers, researchers, educators, parents, and children—among so many more—have helped shape who I am today. I believe every single interaction has left its mark on my journey.
I dream of an approach to education that mirrors the world we’re building—one that is more sustainable, respectful, and conscious. Everywhere we look, new paradigms are emerging, and education is part of this wave of transformation.
The Latin word educare—meaning "to draw from within" or "to draw out from the heart"—is where my journey truly begins. What gifts live inside each of us that, when nurtured, can be offered back to the world?
Nearly a decade ago, I began a quiet but powerful shift in the way I saw life. I knew there had to be a more fulfilling, connected way to live and to relate. That search hasn’t stopped—it continues to lead me to new ways of enriching my own life and helping others do the same.
As an early childhood educator, I came to see how the early years of life shape us in profound and lasting ways. I realized that our presence, our intention, and our love have the power to shape a child’s future. This realization stirred something deep in me: I wanted to do more. I wanted to walk alongside parents and teachers, to help nurture both the minds and hearts of our youngest generation.
Learning about the role of emotions in our development opened up a whole new world for me. It called me to look inward and care for parts of myself I had long overlooked. In many ways, I had to “re-parent” my younger self—learning skills as an adult that I wished I had learned as a child. And that’s when I asked myself: What if I could offer others the tools I had to learn the hard way?
I knew I wanted to pass on what helped me not just survive, but thrive: mindfulness, emotional intelligence, compassionate communication, and more.
Since then, I’ve intuitively crafted support plans in collaboration with parents, teachers, and caregivers. Together, we start by reconnecting with the adult’s own inner wisdom—bringing forward the gifts they already have, and using them as a foundation for nurturing children. The tools and strategies I share are the ones that have transformed lives—including my own. But each plan is tailored, because every child—and every adult—is unique.
